Scherrer Introduces Web Ally for Vendor Relationship Management to Save Cash, Reduce Expenses, and Grow Profit Margin
Scherrer announced today the release of Web Ally for VENDOR RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (VRM); a new SAAS platform.
Web Ally software is a browser based "relationship management" (RM) platform that helps manage all of VENDOR
relationships and streamline VENDOR MANAGEMENT. It includes web-based contact management, vendor tracking,
e-mail tracking, calendaring, "bake off" management, collaboration communication, contract management, and
new vendor recruiting management. Web Ally eRM helps the company attract and manage top vendors and develop
productive relationships, and recordkeeping, throughout the entire vendor/firm lifecycle; supplying integrated
vendor workflow management from introduction to contract renewal.
Web Ally VRM enables firms to ensure that vendors are meeting their commitments and delivering value at the
lowest possible total cost of ownership (TCO). For some organizations, this is procurement's job; however,
having an independent system and an independent group -- one that complements procurement's mission -- is a
more likely route within a Vendor Management Office (VMO) or Vendor Management Function.
Traditional procurement focuses on evaluation and purchase, while Web Ally VRM helps the vendor management
office (VMO) drive the entire vendor relationship life cycle. Web Ally VRM is a single system of record to
bring most vendor-related data into one location, streamlining how you manage these relationships.

Web Ally VRM can be used quite successfully for "what if" analysis that is more dynamic than static
(updated as the company wants to look at alternative business models) for strategic assessments. For
existing and proposed vendors, a firm will use Web Ally CRM software to collect cost projections for
the next years budget; if not this year, then it may fit into next year’s budget. At any point in time,
the Vendor Manager within a firm could blast an e-mail to a group of vendors to get updated rates for
a particular product or service, and speed up turn around time.
